Please note that there is a required minimum adoption donation of $10 for the first one, and $7 for each after. It costs substantial amounts of money to provide the extensive care (day-to-day care, medications, emergency veterinary care, etc.) which most hamsters need after we rescue them.

Before you click submit, please note that ALL the questions on the adoption application must be answered, in order for it to submit. We recommend scrolling trough your application after you finish the questionnaire, so you can make sure that here are no red highlighted question boxes.
Once you have submitted the application, an ECC representative will contact you as soon as possible to confirm the receipt. If we do not do so within a day, your application may have not submitted.
If we have not yet communicated via email (email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org), in regards to your present adoption application, please send us an email, letting us know of your adoption interest, so we may follow up with detailed information regarding said adoption.
There are too many animals in the house already.
Animal related allergies.
You are moving and cannot take the animals with you.
The cost of maintaining healthy hamsters is too much. (Average veterinary bill is $100+, please consider pet insurance.)
House soiling issue.
Inadequate facilities to raise hamster(s).
The hamster(s) does not get along with other pets.
You get divorced or separated and no longer want the hamster(s) you had together.
Child bored with the hamster(s).
Sheds too much.
Too hard to care for.
Not enough time.
Having a baby.
